The whole process of B2C e-commerce is a complex matter. It exists of different important components like, airline destination handling organized by the ground handlers like DNATA, KLM, Swissport, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), Menzies Aviation etc., airport pickup, warehouse activities like cargo break down of ULD's and PMC pallets, splitting and pallettizing the cartons, in- and outbound scanning, Customs clearance and, if applicable, handling of physical inspections. Last but not least, the trucks should be loaded.

B2C shipments with a value below € 150,00 will be processed within 15 minutes after we have received the required shipping documents like the notification of arrival (NOA), pre-alert and the Air Way Bill. For clearances among or nearby the airport a PGTS-registration is necessary. In a scenario the goods will be cleared at an external warehouse location anywhere in The Netherlands, not directly at the airport, a T1 document is required.

This way, once shipments arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol international airport (AMS) or Maastricht airport (MST), they can be handed over or transferred very rapidly to the last mile service provider, as Customs formalities will be handled lightning fast. How smooth would you like the Customs clearance of your shipments to be?
